The Eagles opened the 2016-17 season with a 56-35 win over the Breck Mustangs.
The Eagles broke open a close game midway through the first half by going on a 29-8 run over the final eight minutes of the first half behind 16 first half points from Emmy Erickson.
The second half was played to a draw as the Mustangs could never cut into the big first half lead and the Eagles closed out the 21 point win.
The Eagles got three players in double figures with Emmy Erickson leading the way with a game high 20 points. Carly Hager and Hannah Nelson got into double figures as well, adding 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Next up the Eagles head to Sibley HS for a two-day tournament with games on Friday vs South St Paul, and Saturday against the host Sibley Warriors.
In the first game of the night the Eagle JV also came away with an opening night win, giving the Eagles two wins on opening night.
